Hello. As an infant I was diagnosed with septo optic nerve hypoplasia, or septo optic nerve dysplasia, as it's now called. I never got migraines as a child--in fact, I hardly ever got even a mild headache! In college, I started getting migraines a few times a year, but Excedrin would usually get rid of them. About four years ago, the migraines started to become a more serious problem, and they have been getting worse and worse ever since. I have had a migraine for ninety-eight days straight, and doctors either don't take me seriously or don't know what to do with me. I have tried several preventative medications, all the tryptans on the market, meditation, and acupuncture. I'm currently going to Tong Ren (sp.?) healing classes and trying to get some hands-on work done afterward, which sometimes brings the pain down to a more moderate level. So my question is: does anyone else on here have this problem, and if so, have you/your doctors found a solution? Does it have something to do with our eye condition or the hormone deficiency that goes along with it? Help!!!
